Changes announced in Canada immigration programs

Canada, 27th June: Canada immigration department has announced major changes in Canada immigration programs to come into effect from 1st July 2011 onwards.

As per the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), the intake of Canada immigration applications for selected categories of immigration programs will undergo changes. In order to be eligible for Canada’s Federal Skilled Worker Program, aspiring immigrants should either possess minimum paid work experience of one year in any one of the total 29 occupations need to have an offer of valid job from any Canadian employer.

There will be no change in the list of 29 eligible occupations, revealed Canada immigration minister Jason Kenney, for the coming period of one year. The only change will be with regard to the number of Canada immigration applications to be accepted for processing.

500 Canada visa applications to be accepted under Federal Skilled Worker Program—Canada immigration department will accept a total of 500 applications for processing for each occupation. Hence, a total of 10,000 Canada immigration applications will be considered for the coming one year.

Meanwhile, those having a valid offer of job from any Canadian employer will not be affected by such limits.

Since, all open Canada occupations are likely to get filled soon, hence, applicants for Canada immigration are being encouraged to apply at the earliest.

Kind regards,
Henry Maclennan CSIC, CAPIC

Skilled Class - Immigration to Canada under the Canadian skilled worker visa is one of the most popular ways for potential migrants to live and work in Canada and obtain instant permanent resident status. We offer a free assessment with our online skilled worker visa application for Canada assessment, along with a free initial assessment of all your Canada immigration and work permit requirements. Canadian Immigration as a skilled worker to Canada is an attractive option for most potential migrants who meet the basic requirements, as it is an independent points tested visa, which encourages migrants to apply even if you have not obtained a Canadian job offer or secured family sponsorship. You can even try our Canada Skilled Worker Visa Points Calculator and get a free assessment. The Skilled Worker Visa can lead to Canadian Citizenship after only two years. If you have a Canadian job offer you can include this in your Skilled Worker Visa application for immigration to Canada. You may also like to consider applying for a Canadian Work Permit.

Work Permit - As the Canadian economy is growing, it has a shortage of skilled people in different fields. These shortages are met by temporary workers. Temporary workers enjoy competitive wages, international experience and also the option to become permanent resident of Canada under the new Canadian experience class.

Investor Class - Enjoy the expedited processing by applying as an investor in either federal or Quebec program. You need to have a net worth of CND$1,600,000. You have the option to either invest $800,000 with the government and get it back after five years or alternatively we can arrange bank financing for you with leading Canadian banks at very attractive rates.

Family Sponsor - Canada offers priority processing to the member of family class resulting in fast paced processing and less waiting times.

Provincial Programs - Canada is the second largest country of the world by area and yet is scarcely populated. Canada welcomes immigrants from around the world to its 10 provinces and 3 territories. Most provinces are keen to attract immigrants so that they can become a part of their growing economies. Working in agreement with Government of Canada, these provinces can select and invite prospective immigrants to their area by offering Provincial Nomination Programs. Most of these programs are very attractive, flexible and above all offer shorten processing times. Do you have a close blood relative in any of these provinces in Canada? If yes, they may sponsor you to get into CANADA much faster.
